(More customer reviews)I have had this insert a little over a year and find it's alright, assuming you have perfectly seasoned firewood...even well-seasoned (20% moisture content) wood doesn't burn particularly well, and all your wood has to be split down relatively small (I'd say 4" maximum width).
That said, once you get the hang of using it and have proper wood fuel you can get a decent bit of heat out of it. I have a 1300 square foot house, and the stove can get the (fairly large) stove room a little above 70 degrees, and the rest of the house in the mid 60's.
I've not had much luck getting a 10 hour burn time out of it, and I've been extremely lucky to get much over 6 hours. Once the flames are out the stove starts cooling and even a large bed of coals doesn't provide much any heat.
Overall a little disappointing, especially for the money I paid.
